Spoon - Planished - Chester 1918 by Keswick School of Industrial Arts - 15.5cm long; 28grams - JN/1000

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an extremely rare arts & crafts silver spoon by the Keswick School of Industrial Arts. The spoon is beautifully made and has an unusual pouring spout appearance to the bowl - this in conjunction with the stylised crucifix terminal lead us to believe that it was intended for use as a communion spoon to pour a single drop of holy wine.

This hand-made spoon has an all over planished appearance with a twist to the shank. The spoon is clearly marked to the side of the bowl. It is beautifully proportioned and in great condition. A fantastic spoon.
