Large Model of Silver L118 Howitzer, Sheffield 2004

This is a fabulous hallmarked silver scale model of the British Army's L118 howitzer field gun.

Measuring almost 12" long and not far off a kilo in weight, it is a large and heavy model which has been accurately made to celebrate the successful L118. An artilleryman sighting his target has been included as integral to the model. The model is fully hallmarked and is in superb condition.

The L118 is a 105mm towed light field gun that was produced for the British Army during the 1970's and has been exported around the world. Today, four artillery regiments are equipped with this howitzer, whilst other regiments use it on a temporary basis. Although the L118 is due to be retired from service within the next ten years, it is currently being extensively used in the Russo-Ukranian War.
