Leslie Durbin Serving Spoon, 1954
Sold
Serving Spoon - Hand-made - London 1954 by Leslie Gordon Durbin - 23.3cm long; 110 grams - Ref: BF/9781b
This is a wonderfully elegant silver serving spoon made by one of the most important post-war silversmiths, Leslie Durbin - LGD.
At over 9" long, this is a good sized serving spoon with a generous bowl. It has a beautiful, streamlined tapering stem with a simple engraved design to the terminal. The reverse of the bowl has an organic rattail that is very similar to the type produced by LGD's master, Omar Ramsden.
The spoon is in fabulous condition and matches the canteen that we are currently also offering.
