Vinaigrette - Rectangular; Engine Turned - Birmingham 1838 by Nathaniel Mills - 4cm x 2.6cm; 21g - PQ/1633
This early Victorian silver vinaigrette was made by the master Birmingham box-maker, Nathaniel Mills and it bears two clear examples of his sought after "NM" maker's mark.
This antique vinaigrette has engine turned decoration around the outside with original "JH" initials in Gothic Script to the centre. Opening the box reveals a gilt interior with prettily pierced and engraved hinged grille. This vinaigrette remains in excellent condition.
