Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Omar Ramsden rarely made boxes, but he should have made more because this is a really fabulous piece! It is a good, large size with the unusual feature of having wavy fins around the exterior which help to open the box one-handed. The exterior of the box is superbly engraved with a floral chequer-board pattern around a vacant central cartouche, whilst the interior is gilt (gold-washed). This box has a really hefty feel and just oozes the very highest quality - a magnificent piece by the most important British silversmith of the 20th century.
