Dish Wedges (pair) - London 1798 by Peter &amp; Ann Bateman - 10.7cm long x 5cm high; 107g - CN/1874</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are an extremely rare pair of Georgian period silver dish wedges made by the famous Bateman family. They are beautifully decorated to the front and bear an original engraved crest and script initial to the centre. They are in superb condition throughout and are about the most attractive pair we have ever come across.

Dish wedges have ribbed sloping surfaces and were placed under serving dishes, plates and platters to hold them at an angle and allow gravy to flow down to the other side.
