Pepperettes (pair) - Baluster with rope-work - London 1764 by John Delmester - 12.7cm high; 158g - LM/3725

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a super pair of Georgian silver casters. The baluster shape is probably the most popular form and single examples are plentiful; however finding a matching pair is extremely difficult and these are a particular fine twosome. They were both made by the specialist caster maker John Delmester and have rope-work around the central girth. These good sized pepper pots are hallmarked to the underside of the bases and appropriately marked with lion passant and maker's marks to the pierced covers. They are in excellent condition.
