Basting Spoons (pair) - Bright-cut Engraved - London 1780 by Hester Bateman - 29cm long; 240g - RS/5361

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a beautiful and very fine quality pair of silver basting spoons made by the important lady silversmith, Hester Bateman. They are superbly decorated to the front stems with bright-cut engraving and bear original stag rampant with arrow crests to the front terminals. The quality of the spoons is top drawer with a good hefty weight and they even retain their original thick bowl tips. Sometimes known as gravy or stuffing spoons, both are clearly hallmarked and remain in excellent original condition throughout.
