Pair of Leslie Durbin Serving Spoons, 1954
Serving Spoons (pair) - Hand-wrought - London 1954 by Leslie Durbin - 23.4cm long; 218g combined weight - SP/9781c
This is a wonderfully elegant pair of silver serving spoons made by one of the most important post-war silversmiths, Leslie Durbin - LGD.
At over 9" long, these are good sized serving spoons with generous, circular bowls. They have a beautiful, streamlined tapering stem with a simple engraved design to the terminal. The reverse of the bowl has an organic rattail that is very similar to the type produced by LGD's master, Omar Ramsden.
The spoons are in fabulous, polished condition.
