Paul Storr Onslow Dessert Spoon, 1818
Sold
Dessert Spoon - Onslow pattern - London 1818 by Paul Storr - 16.4cm long; 31g - KB/9722a
This is a very rare piece of silver on two fronts. Onslow pattern is ordinarily considered a mid-18th century pattern and we have never previously seen a piece by Paul Storr. This spoon was presumably made as a replacement for a lost piece from an older service. Paul Storr is considered to be the greatest English silversmith of the 19th century.
This dessert spoon has a gilt interior to the bowl and the handle is decorated with feather edging. The condition is excellent throughout.
