Paul Storr Dinner Plate, 1815

We don't recall seeing this form of silver dinner plate before. It has an exaggerated wide border that reflects the shape of the superb quality acanthus leaf and shell mount - it looks superb and just oozes the quality one would expect from the master silversmith Paul Storr.

Dating from the year of victory at Waterloo and bearing an original, finely engraved coat-of-arms to the border, this Regency period 10" plate is in fabulous condition with the scratches you would expect from use and a clear set of hallmarks including that all important "PS" maker's mark.
