Paul Storr Serving Plate, 1818

This is a fine example of a 15.25" long silver serving plate or meat dish that benefits from bearing a clear hallmark for the greatest British silversmith of the 19th century, Paul Storr. Engraved to the border with a block letter "H", this Georgian period plate has a bold gadroon border in the Regency taste. There are some knife scratches as to be expected to the central field and a couple of very minor dings, but otherwise the condition is excellent throughout.
