Serving Slice - Elizabethan pattern - London 1835 by Paul Storr - 19.4cm long; 80g - EN/9139

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very unusual piece of Paul Storr silver and we don't recall seeing similar before.

It is a small serving slice, presumably for tart or pie, in the form of a trowel and similar in appearance to the large serving trowels of the mid-18th century. The flat section is superbly pierced and engraved, whilst the handle is decorated in a premium pattern - Elizabethan. The crest surmounted by a baron's coronet to the reverse terminal is an indication of the rich heritage of this piece and the weight adds to the overall feeling of top drawer quality. A further bonus is the excellent condition and the clear set of hallmarks.

A stunning piece of antique silver by the greatest English silversmith of the 19th century
