Picture-front Teaspoon, 1760

A great example of a mid-18th century silver-gilt picture front teaspoon. This Georgian teaspoon is decorated to the front terminal with a mask amongst scrolls and has further scrolls to the reverse of the bowl. There is a finely engraved crest at the back of the handle and the vestiges of the original hallmarks. The spoon has a good solid weight and is in lovely, crisp condition with a thick bowl tip.
