Large Ramsden & Carr Dish with enamelled centre

Measuring 7.25" diameter, this is a good sized silver dish made by the most important British exponents working in silver of the Arts & Crafts movement n the UK, Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr. It is beautifully designed and has an all over planished finish from the hand-raising process. The centre of the dish has a fabulous Tudor rose motif with turquoise enamel background.

This is a truly stunning piece of arts & crafts silver in superb condition throughout and bearing the famous legend to the underside " OMAR RAMSDEN ET ALWYN CARR ME FECERUNT MCMXI" the date being an unusual addition.
