Sorry, this item is out of stock.

An    exceedingly rare Scottish provincial teaspoon from the town of Fochabers.    Any silver from Fochabers is very rare (generally stamped with just makers    mark or in combination with thistle), but this spoon has the benefit of the    "FOCHR" town mark. It is a good sized spoon with a solid feel and    engraved initials in script to the front terminal. The marks are a touch    rubbed but easily legible.

Fochabers is a small village close to the city of Elgin in    Moray. It is home to Baxters, the foodstuff company with a Royal warrant and    especially well known for its' soups. Fochabers is pronounced FO-ha-brz with    the emphasis on the first syllable; the 'o' is spoken as in 'hot'.
