Table Spoon - Hanoverian Picture-back - London 1758 by James Tookey - 20cm long; 62g - TR/4258

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fabulous Georgian silver picture-back table spoon with an excellent depiction of an urn of flowers to the reverse of the bowl.

This spoon has everything you might want for in a picture back - a rare and crisp motif, a contemporary to manufacture crest to the reverse terminal, a nice solid weight, a good set of hallmarks and fine condition with a thick bowl tip.

The most important feature is the fancy back design and this remains super-crisp with good detailing - the trellis work of the urn and the petals of the assorted flowers with the bouquet remain visible. The spoon was made by the specialist spoonmaker James Tookey and both condition and patina remain excellent.
