Table Spoon - Hanoverian Rattail Pattern - London 1722 by Richard Scarlett - 20.3cm long; 62g - TD/3223a

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a good heavy George I period silver table spoon made by Richard Scarlett.

The spoon is in the Hanoverian Pattern with rattail to the reverse of the bowl and original "ST" initials engraved to the back of the handle. This table spoon has a good, solid and satisfying feel in the hand, plus it is in excellent condition with a thick bowl tip, good antique patina and a clear set of hallmarks, including the "RS" crowned mark of the maker.

Richard Scarlett was the son of the prolific specialist spoonmaker William Scarlett and apprenticed to him between 1710 and 1718.
