Teaspoon - Tea Plant picture-back - London circa 1765 by Robert Sallam - Ref. No.: WS/1264c

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a pretty example from the series of fancy and picture back spoons made during the mid-18th century. The tea plant emblem to the reverse of the bowl is in decent condition with most detail to the petals still visible. The reverse terminal of this Hanoverian spoon is engraved with a betrothal triangle and the two marks to the stem are legible. The overall condition is good, although there is some pitting to the inside of the bowl.
