Sorry, this item is out of stock.

We are offering a very unusual Victorian silver candle lighter and snuffer all encompassed in the one piece. The small ring at the mouthpiece end slides along the length of the horn pushing out a spill that can be lit and held to the wick of each candlestick. This spill automatically extinguishes as the slider is retracted. To put out the candlesticks, one blows through the mouthpiece. A most enjoyable way for the ceremony of lighting and extinguishing candles!

An ingenious object made by the famous Sampson Mordan and Company. The name of the original retailer, J C Vickery, is impressed to the cover on the inside of the case. The case is beautifully made and has preserved this item in superb original condition.
