Scottish Posy Vase, Glasgow 1900

This is a very rare example of a Scottish silver posy holder. It has an attractive double-tapering, hexagonal form with a knopped centre & crisp bright-cut engraved decoration, finger ring & chain. There is a vacant shield-shaped cartouche to one panel and a clear set of hallmarks. There is also a split pin that inserts through the top to hold the flower arrangement in place. This posy vase is in excellent condition throughout.
