This is a rare set of Georgian silver "PLENTY" picture back teaspoons in fine condition.

The word "PLENTY" is written above a wheat sheaf and possibly indicates the national celebration of successful harvests. The mid-18th century had a succession of good harvests resulting in food surpluses and improved national prosperity.

These Hanoverian pattern fancy back teaspoons are in excellent, crisp condition with just minor points of wear from table contact plus unworn bowls.  The reverse terminals bear original engraved initials "I*S" and the two bottom struck marks, including the maker's mark for Thomas Wallis, help date the spoons to the 1760's. A great set of scarce spoons.
