4 Hanoverian Shell & Scroll Table Spoons, 1758
Sold
Table Spoons (4) - Hanoverian Shell & Scroll pattern - London 1758 by Robert Burton - 20.9cm long; 208g combined weight - DT/5896</p>
Georgian period fancy back table spoons rarely come in sets and certainly not in as fine condition as this attractive foursome. The shell and scroll motifs to the reverse of the bowls are all in crisp condition and the overall condition is excellent with thick bowl tips and a fine patina. Each spoon is stamped with a clear set of bottom-struck hallmarks and the scarcely encountered "RB" maker's mark of Robert Burton. There are no personalised engravings and overall these are a top drawer set of silver spoons.
