Antique silver wine labels with the title "CHAMPAGNE" are relatively scarce and this late 18th century example has the charming feature of a mis-spelling - "CHAMPAIGNE".
This cut-cornered rectangular bottle ticket was made by the top lady silversmith Susanna Barker, bears an excellent set of appropriate hallmarks and is in fine condition.
