This is a superb piece of Georgian silver - as one might expect from Paul Storr.
This 2-handled silver sugar bowl just radiates high quality and the engraved armorial to one side is testament to the rich heritage of this beautiful piece of Paul Storr silver. This is a good-sized basin with a generous capacity and a sumptuous, original, gilt interior. The cast handles are joined to the bowl with a shell motif and bifurcating scrolls.
The engraved coat of arms is surmounted by a crest depicting a fox and in addition to the hallmarks, the underside is stamped "Storr & Mortimer". Overall a fabulous piece in superb condition with a lovely antique patina.
