This is an excellent George III period silver wine label with the scarce name HERMITAGE incised and inked to the front.
This antique bottle ticket was made by John Rich and has a good set of hallmarks to the reverse. it is in fine condition and hangs from its original chain.
Hermitage is a French red wine from the northern Rhone wine region, just south of Lyon.
