Silver Jug with Chrysoprase, 1911 Ramsden & Carr

This is an an outstanding piece of art & crafts silver made by the important partnership of Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr.

The jug has a lovely elegant shape with original spot-hammer marks all over and a black ebony handle The applied trellis work band to the upperparts is adorned with diamond-shaped green chrysoprase stones and the finial to the hinged cover is fitted with a chrysoprase cabochon.

This is an extremely rare piece of Ramsden & Carr silver that remains in fabulous condition and is chased to the underside with Omar Ramsden Et Alwyn Carr Me Fecerunt.
