This crescent-shaped Georgian silver wine label was made by Hester Bateman in the late 18th century.
Titled for RUM, this stylish bottle ticket is in excellent condition with original chain. In addition to the famous cursive script "HB" maker's mark, the reverse side is stamped with a lion passant and intaglio duty mark that dates the piece to between 1786 and 1790.
