Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a first class example of a William & Mary period silver trefid spoon with a great set of London hallmarks.

The beaded rattail is an especially pleasing feature and typical of trefid spoons from the 1690's; often the beading is tired from table contact but this example remains crisp. The reverse terminal is engraved with original dot-prick engraved N*C initials.

The spoon is in fine condition with a lovely patina. The hallmarks are excellent and clear and include the "crowned EH over a horseshoe" maker's mark of Edward Hulse.
