Antique Silver Mustard Spoons

Silver mustard spoons have elongated oval bowls so that they can effectively scoop mustard from hinged pots. They first appeared at the end of the 17th century, but were produced in larger numbers when the dedicated mustard pot was introduced in the 1760's. Long-handled mustard spoons were used in combination with tall glass bottles as part of cruet stands. We always have a very large stock that includes English, Scottish and Irish examples, including many from the provinces, but show only a selection online.
