Spoon - Seal-top - London 1614 by James Cluatt - 170mm long; 43g - CQ/3304

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an excellent James I period silver seal top spoon with a good baluster finial. This spoon has a good, unworn fig-shaped bowl, hexagonal stem and original v-notch join to the finial. The flat terminal of the finial bears "EN" initials in block lettering. The leopard's head bowl mark has lost its detail, but the three stamps to the reverse stem are clear and deeply struck. The makers mark is a "C enclosing and I" for the specialist spoon maker James Cluatt. A great spoon in fine condition.
