Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A wonderful William III period silver trefid spoon with a stunning set of Britannia Standard hallmarks.

This trefid spoon dates from the final year of the 17th century (although some might say the first year of the 18th!) and was made by the top spoonmaker Lawrence Jones. It has a striking ribbed rattail to the back of the bowl and has original "TW" engraved ownership initials to the reverse of the stem. This is a fine quality spoon, in stunning condition and complete with a superb set of clear hallmarks. What more could you ask for!

Lawrence Jones can trace his spoonmaker lineage back to the important early 16th century silversmith Nicholas Bartholomew. He was apprenticed to John King in 1676 and was free in 1683.
