The Service
We are pleased to be offering an outstanding late 20th Century silver canteen of cutlery in the popular Reed and Ribbon Pattern and that was originally retailed by Harrods.
As you would expect from this prestigious, luxury retailer, the quality of this set is superb with each piece having a good solid feeling in the hand providing an overall silver weight, not including the knives, of over 8kg!
The set provides for a full formal table service with eleven pieces per 12 place settings and a good range of serving items. The sets of table and dessert knives, together with the carving set, cake server and cheese knife have silver handles with stainless steel blades.
Every piece is hallmarked for Sheffield 1995 and bears the sponsor’s mark of the famous London department store, Harrods, plus the knives are engraved with "Harrods London". The service is presented in a wooden box with lift out tray and 24 knives slotted in to the lid. The set is in superb, polished condition and appears to have had little use.
