Caddy Spoon - Shaped Fiddle pattern - Aberdeen circa 1820 by William Jamieson - 8.8cm long; 11.1g - JE/1866
Made in the north east of Scotland, this lovely Georgian silver caddy spoon bears Scottish provincial hallmarks for the Aberdeen maker William Jamieson.
The spoon has an attractive shape based on the fiddle pattern but with curved rather than angular terminal. It is engraved with original script initials and is clearly stamped to the reverse side with the "ABD" town mark and "WJ" maker's mark.
