Cream Jug - Engraved Baluster - London 1837 by Paul Storr - 13.2cm high; 260g - HT/4225c

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a beautiful antique silver cream or milk jug made by Paul Storr towards the latter end of his career.

The pitcher-style jug has a lovely baluster form and an exceptional engraved design with flowers, scroll and pattern-work. The interior retains its original, rich gilding and the overall condition is first-rate.

Although hallmarked for the first year of Queen Victoria's reign, it bears the duty mark of William IV and so was likely made during the first few months of the date letter cycle (running from May) whilst replacement stamps were made to represent the new monarch.

This is a fine looking silver cream jug made by Britain's greatest 19th century silversmith. We are also offering the matching coffee pot and sugar bowl. See links below.
