Oil & Vinegar Set - Frame on Four Legs with Glass Bottles - London 1769 by Jabez Daniell & James Mince - 19.5cm high x 22cm long; 445g (Bottles = 16.5cm high) - TQ/4571

This is a fabulous George III silver two-bottle silver frame for dispensing oil and vinegar at the table.

Made by Jabez Daniell and James Mince, the silver frame is of the very highest quality with a good solid feel and hefty weight. It stands on four shell feet and has a looped carrying handle. To the front is a rococo style cartouche that remains free from personalised engravings. The facetted glass bottles are original to the frame, as are their silver pull-off covers that can be conveniently placed in the two rings on either side to safeguard them from loss.

Warwick cruet sets were popular during the mid-18th century and this oil and vinegar frame is a smaller version of the same. It is in excellent condition with nothing negative to report and all glass free of chips/cracks.
