Wine Label - Sherry; Navette-shape with Bead Border - London 1801 by John Rich - 4.9cm wide; 9.6g - AV/2410

This is an attractive antique silver sherry label with the great provenance of originally being owned by a baron.

The Georgian wine label takes a navette-shape and is decorated with a fine bead border. The SHERRY title is engraved to the cental field with a family crest below and the four pearl coronet of a baron above. From this information and with further research the name of the baron concerned could be discerned.

The label is in fine condition and clearly stamped to the reverse side with appropriate London hallmarks and the maker's mark of John Rich.
