Wine Label - Sherry; Cut-corner Neck Ring - London 1813 by Phipps, Robinson & Phipps - 4.5cm wide (7.5cm diameter ring); 18g - CN/3820

This handsome silver decanter label hangs from a neck ring and bears the title "sherry".

The label was made in the workshop of Thomas Phipps, Edward Robinson & James Phipps; the premier London small workers of the early 19th century. It is a cut-cornered rectangle in form with chased shells at the mid-points and is connected to the circular wire ring by way of a hinge. The piece is in fine antique condition with clear hallmarks.
