Caddy Spoon - Flowers of the Union; gilt - Sheffield 1856 by Martin, Hall & Co. - 8cm long; 10.4g - SU/5024
This is a beautiful Victorian silver tea caddy spoon made in Sheffield by Martin, Hall & Company.
The spoon has a looping tendril handle terminating a flower-head, whilst the bowl is attractively embossed with flowers of the union (rose for England, shamrock for Ireland & thistle for Scotland) and gilt. This is a fabulous example in fine condition.
