Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a good quality and fine looking Georgian silver-gilt viniagrette.

Made by the specialist smallworker John Reily, this good looking box has attractive chequer-board engraving to the top and underside and retains its all over original gilding. opening the hinged cover reveals a splendid hinged grill with a central flower head and supporting scrolls pierced and engraved in an attractive manner. An aromatic sponge would have been placed below the grille to allow pleasant odours to emanate and mask the less pleasant smells of Georgian city streets.

This antique vinaigrette remains in excellent condition throughout with a clear set of hallmarks to the interior.
