Toothpick Box - Engraved Navette-shaped - Birmingham 1799 by Joseph Taylor - 6.5cm long; 24g - PN/5483

This is a beautiful late 18th century silver toothpick box made by Joseph Taylor.

This navette-shaped, George III period box is superbly engraved all over. The top of the box has a simple design around the outer edge and a plain central field that benefits from having neither personalised engravings nor any erasures. The box is opened by way of a push-button to the side and reveals a green felt lined interior with a mirror inside the lid.

This antique box is in superb condition with a full set of hallmarks to the underside of the exterior.
