This lady silversmith appeared to specialise in optical pieces mounted in silver and these lorgnettes are a great example of her work. Used for reading or as opera glasses, these lorgnettes have a long side-handle with finger ring and the central hinged bridge allows them to be folded together within a catch for easy carrying and safe keeping. They are fully hallmarked with the marks spread between the finger ring and the bridge and including the "M.H" incuse mark for the maker. Great condition throughout.
