Table Spoons (pair) - Bright-cut engraved Celtic Point pattern - Limerick c.1790 by Maurice Fitzgerald - 26cm long; 134g combined weight - AY/5362a

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Limerick-made silver spoons are scarce and so to it is a pleasure to be able to offer a pair of 10.25" long serving spoons by Maurice Fitzgerald.

These elegant, Celtic Point spoons are bright-cut engraved to the front of their stems and terminate in the feathers which are so diagnostic to Limerick silver. The spoons are both stamped to the reverse sides with "MFG" (twice) and "STERLING" but although legible they are a little worn. The condition is generally good with full bowls, but a touch of overall wear from use to both marks and decoration account for the very competitive price for this pair - generally a single example would be similarly priced!
