These are very good quality Victorian dividers made in hallmarked silver. Made by Henry Thomas Lamb, they are beautifully bright-cut engraved all over and are in fine working condition.
Dividers are instruments for measuring or marking and are very rarely found made from silver. It is likely that this example was presented to an architect, surveyor or someone regularly using this type of desk tool.
