Mustard Pot - Drum-shaped, Pierced; blue glass liner - London 1844 by Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox - 6.4cm diameter; 8cm high; 9.5cm wide (incl. handle); 130g silver (210g gross weight) - AU/8977

This fine quality silver mustard pot was made during the Victorian period by the premier silversmiths Charles And George Fox.

The mustard pot has a feeling of high quality with its good hefty weight (both with and without the glass liner) and superb pierced decoration within panels around the circumference of the piece. It stands on a scroll skirt foot and the hinged cover has a cut-out to accommodate a spoon and a scrolled thumb-piece. The blue glass liner appears to be the original and overall this excellent quality, good-sized mustard pot is in fine antique condition.
