This is a clever, well-made silver pill box made in the 21st century by the multi-award winning silversmith, James Dougall of Winslow, Buckinghamshire.
Described by James Dougall as a signature piece from his portfolio, this pyramidal box has one face decorated with blue shagreen. One of the edges is formed as a hinge to open out a triangular cover. A clever twist, is the indented shagreen face (so that it can sit flat), whilst the others are outdented with three faces to give good grip. A fabulously thought out design and practical too!
The stamping of a date letter on 21st century silver is optional, so this box was mostly likely made circa 2015. It remains in near perfect condition.
