This is a fine quality George III period silver Hanoverian table spoon with elaborate rococo shell fancy back to the bowl. Stephen Adams I was a top spoonmaker working during the second half of the 18th century.
The spoon has a good solid feel in the hand and is clearly stamped with bottom-struck hallmarks. The spoon is in fine condition with no personalised engravings, a lovely antique patina and a good, unworn bowl.
