Silver Toddy Ladle, Rare Scottish Provincial Marks
£148.00
Toddy Ladle - Fiddle pattern - Dundee circa 1820 (?) - 15.8cm long; 36g - SK/7636
This silver toddy ladle was most likely made in Dundee and bear five marks for an unknown maker.
The marks are clear and include "S", a crown, a can and a thistle, plus the double hitting of the "D" mark which points towards DunDee. These marks are so far unrecorded and may well prove to have an even more interesting provenance with further research.
The fiddle pattern ladle bears an original engraved letter "A" to the front terminal and is in excellent condition.
