Table Spoon - Dog-nose pattern - London 1705 by Alice Sheene - 20cm long; 47g - NC/3455

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a tremendous example of a Queen Anne period silver dog nose table spoon with the bonus of being made by the rarely encountered lady silversmith, Alice Sheen.

The spoon is in excellent condition throughout with original engraved betrothal initials to the reverse terminal that benefit from also bearing the date. The bowl remains unworn (there is a slight shadow of the rattail to the reverse) and the Britannia Standard hallmarks are in good, legible condition. Dog nose spoons tend to be worn with rubbed marks, but this is altogether a very fine spoon.
