Caddy Spoon - Thread with Pointed terminal - London 1787 by Richard Crossley - 9.3cm long; 15g - TC/5051
This is a lovely, elegant silver caddy spoon and an untypical example from the workshop of Richard Crossley.
The spoon has a nice solid feel in the hand and meets the quality one would expect from this premier spoonmaker. The handle has a raised double-thread edge with pointed terminal and fluted bowl. It is engraved with a crest to the front terminal and has a clear set of hallmarks to the reverse side. An excellent George III period spoon in fine condition.
